scented bedding

so...i just got new bedding for my guinea pig. it was lavender scented bedding from kaytee. three weeks later, my guinea pig was really starting to get lethargic and he seemed to have some sort of skin irritations. i took him to the vet and he said it was because of the bedding. so i went back to the store and had to buy a whole new bag of bedding and wasted a whole bag of the scented bedding. im so upset that a company would sell something that causes potential health issues. what kind of person would do that!?!?!?!?

Scented bedding isn't good for guinea-pigs because it can irritate their skin. If I were you I'd go back to the place you bought it from and ask for a refund or for them to pay your vet bills. I hope your guinea-pigs OK now
