I was talking to my friend who got her first guinea-pigs in July and I asked her if they liked any treats because I have a whole drawer full of them that mine won't eat. She said that all hers like is a mineral wheel lick, and she said I should try it with mine. I went into the pet shop today and I thought I bought a mineral lick, but it's a salt lick. It says it stops the guinea-pigs natural craving for salt. Do you think it's bad for them? It says that it's a good addition to their diet on the back but I wanted to see what the rest of you thought. Right now Roy is sniffing it and looking confused lol

I wont not give it to them, they don't need extra salt. is most cases it will just cause you more problems then anything else.

Ok thanks for telling me. Mine don't get any treats now, they have vegetables in the morning and hay and guinea-pig food at night and grass normally in the day. I've stopped buying pet shop treats because there could be all sorts of rubbish in them
