The Rough Patch I Just Went Through

Just wanted to share with you the rough time i have been through.

When i was going out to buy my 2 guinea pigs Pepper and Maya, my mother had agreed to watch over the piggies when i needed her to. That changed. When we were going on vacation she JUST changed her mind that she does not want them in her house. But that doesnt matter, since we found some one to take them.

The other problem is, everyone seems to be really mean to me around the house. My mother always gloats about how much she hates piggies, and tells me i should have never got them.

The other problem is, My step mom is being mean because i brought up buying a 3rd pig in our extra big cage. My dad was already considering it and she had a big blow up at me about being too spoiled, which i am not.

The last problem is, i am gone without my piggies for 24 days. I don't want them to forget about me! And i feel i am missing out on them...........

omg i know how you feel i had my guinea pig eddie my mom really liked him then one day she decided she didnt want them in the house so she made him live outside i was next i moved out to my bf and they didnt accept pets so i had to give him away..

my apt complex says "no pets" but i sneak my pig in anyway. She is in a cage for crying out loud - its not as if its a cat or dog that just runs around all day long......

sorry your mom is being so mean about your pig; i dont understand whats not to love - especially if she doesnt have to clean up after them!

Sorry things are going so badly for you. Is there any chance you could convince your mum they're good pets?

My mom never liked any of my pets when lived at home.

I had a ferret for awhile and she just freaked out over him. She claimed he was always "watching" her. Well... He was! He was hoping she would let him out of the cage to play!

They got rid of my little chiuaua when I was gone for a few weeks. Gave him away and never told me to who.

She "accidentally" killed both my hermit crab and a few years later my gerbil.

I gave up having pets while I lived with her.

Now I have a place of my own and we have our Shih-Tzu, two piggies and a parakeet!

I'm so sorry about the rough time you're having. Maybe you could talk to her and ask her why she suddenly changed her mind.
And about your stepmom... Does your dad know? I know there's not much you can do, but your dad can help.

glad you moved out though!

and hope everything is going better for you now! It's so hard to convince parents piggies are great.
It takes a lot of responsibility to keep the cage clean enough so that they dont hate walking by it.
