Just wait a while, she'll finally eat them. I give mine some treats called "veggie Puffs", it has all sorts of veggies in it and nothing bad! And then I bought this tiny chew log, and not the ones they hide in, but tiny skinny ones they eat. Apple Orchard Sticks, they're called, you find them at pet stores.

I've read that the "treats" from the store arent good for the pigs and that you should just give them fresh veggies. Do yours eat any veggies?

Oh yeah!! They eat a Bell Pepper slice (big enough ) every day, Romaine Lettuce, and rather a Baby Carrot, Tiny Banana Slice, or a Tiny Apple Slice! But this treat I think is good because the ingredients were only veggies, nothing else. Ingredients: Ground corn, ground rice, dehydrated carrots, dehydrated cabbage, dehydrated spinach, and dehydrated celery. Guaranteed Analysis Crude Protein 8.0% min Crude Fat 4.5% min Crude Fiber 2.5% max Moisture 12.0% max Directions: Give as a treat or reward, whenever you desire to add diversity to your small animal's diet.

It took about a month for Simba to start eating veggies after we first got him. I tried everything, red and green bell pepper, cucumbers, romaine lettuce, kale, carrots, parsely.. I think i tried everything and wasted a lot cause he wasn't eating it. Now, he's a regular eating champ. absolute fav is shredded carrots and romaine lettuce. I'm sure yours will get there in no time.

All my piggy eats is lettuce (treat wise i mean, she does eat plenty of hay and her pellets) ... I've been trying to get her on carrots. I'm thinking of not giving her lettuce but instead giving her carrots and cucumber in the hopes that she will eventually give in and try it. What do you guys think?

lol, it might just be his age. I don't have a piggy, but I have a rabbit that wouldn't eat any veggies until he was about 8 months.

The best treats that I have found are veggies. Some of the store-bought treats have too much sugar in them (usually the first ingredient listed) so they are not a good idea because they can cause gastric problems. I have found that some pigs won't eat veggies right away. It seems like they need a "teacher" such as another guinea pig in the cage with them .

My nan keeps buying my guinea-pigs treats from the pet shop and they hate them, I have to put them in a drawer when Nan's here but I'm running out of room in the drawer lol. My friends got guinea-pigs now so I'm going to see if she wants them for her guinea-pigs. My guinea-pigs favourite is lettuce, and they love grass too. It's great that they love grass and dandelions so much because there's a load of dandelions growing in the woods where I walk the dogs so I can get loads of dandelions that are bigger then my guinea-pigs.

guineapigfun- youre right about pigs needing a "teacher" to get them to try veggies. My pig wont eat anything other than lettuce. I even went a few days without giving her lettuce and tried to feed her red bell pepper but she wouldnt have any of it!! Any suggestions?

My guinea pigs eat a wide range of veggies and fruit, My suggestion is only give them 1/8 a cup of pellets for adult guinea pigs, young piggies need unlimited pellets. This will make them eat hay and veggies more.
As for treats, mine get apples, beets, and carrots as treats. Daily they get 1/2 bell pepper ( I have 5 females) 1 1/2 leaves of lettuce each, Cilatro, 2 baby carrots, and every other day they get parsley.
every other week I buy kale for them, it usually doesn't last long but they love it. I also buy beet leaves once a month. They get beans and peas in the summer as they are always in the stores fresh then.
I have a complete list of veggies and Fruits on my website. If you want the url PM me.
Hope this helps.

veggies are definetly better than average petstore treats. Plus, they have to have them (the Vit. C ) so double score! haha And what type of lettuce do you feed ur piggies? Cause ice berg can be toxic to them- just letting you know ;D
